The Route

Over 600 years ago, a man who became a king had ambitions to reign over the biggest empires in Europe as Emperor. He decided to build a city worthy of being capital, a city that would be known the world over for centuries to come. This man was Charles IV. The city was Prague.

In our free castle tour, we will start our adventure with one of the most magnificent architectural marvels, the Charles Bridge. This landmark has united the two sides of the city since the 14th century and is one of Charles IV’s greatest achievements.

After crossing the bridge, we make our way through Mala Strana, a stunning Baroque quarter. We will wander its old streets to Kampa Island and the John Lennon Wall, revealing much of Prague’s past.

From there, we make our way via tram to Prague Castle, just like the locals! The castle is on a fortified location on a hill – overlooking the entire city for centuries. Once atop, we wander through this district, then through the walls into the castle grounds themselves. It is the largest castle complex in the world. Get ready to roam through picturesque courtyards: learn about legendary figures like Rudolph II, Holy Roman Emperor, who was at once a madman and great king, and Maria Theresa, a Hapsburg who brought freedom to the women of Bohemia.

We, of course, encounter the impressive Cathedral of St Vitus. Discover the thousand-year-long history of the lands where this cathedral sits today, its secrets and stories.

The wealth of history that surrounds the castle is impossible to detail in a short description. The only way to find out more is to join us on our Free Castle Tour!

Accessible by stroller or wheelchair and, of course, the youngest (and furriest) members of the family are welcome too.

Mike is the best tour guide we have ever had. He’s knowledgable and passionate about the city. He not only gave general information about the major attractions but also his own research plus his family’s … More personal stories. His city tour in the morning was so good that we signed up for the afternoon’s castle & bridge tour with him.

The free walking tours organized by them are really amazing. We took both the tours offered, one to the Jewish quarters and old town and the other to the Prague castle. Our guide Aris was not just friendly … More and knowledgeable but he also had a good sense of humor and walking past the different monuments and listening to him speak about it was very interesting and absolutely worth it. There's so much more value to every thing you see in Prague if you know a little about it's history. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone who is visiting Prague. It makes the whole experience all the more better.

This was our best day in Prague! Paul was a hilarious and sweet tour guide who had such funny and interesting facts and stories. He was very helpful with small things like making sure we got on the right … More train, and also helping us find our way to our next destination after the tour. If you can ask for Paul for your tour, you should!

Let me start with, Mike gooood 😊 Mike is the best guide you can imagine. We took 2 tours with him on Saturday and it was the best 6 hours EVER. You will learn about the Czech history, culture, food and … More drinks in the most entertaining way. Mike speaks perfect English and is born show star. I really don't know what words should I use to describe the experience, you just need to find it out by yourself. Thank you Mike so much!!!!
